Sängerin und Keyboarderin Jael Jones & Gitarrist Leo James Steiner gründeten nach langjähriger erfolgreicher Zusammenarbeit in den Bands „The Soulettes“ und „Soulstuff“ im Jahr 2018 das Duo „Steiner & Jones“. Das Repertoire des Duos umfasst vornehmlich Perlen der Pop,- Soul- und Bluesmusik der 70er Jahre, aber auch ausgewählte Musikstücke der heutigen Zeit.
Jael Jones entdeckte schon sehr früh ihre Liebe zum Gesang und zur Pop-, Soul- und Bluesmusik. Inspiriert durch internationale Größen wie Quincy Jones, George Benson und Al Jarreau, nutzte sie ihre Talente am Klavier und komponierte und arrangierte bereits im Alter von 12 Jahren zahlreiche Soulballaden. Sie zeichnet sich durch ihre warme und facettenreiche Stimme aus.
Neben ihrem Jurastudium arbeitete sie an zahlreichen Musikprojekten, als Sängerin bei der Soulband His Masters Voice, bei den Projekten ‘Soul of the City’ und ‘The Soulciety Funky Family’ Seite an Seite mit namhaften Musikern wie Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis und Karl Denson und wirkte unter anderem als Sängerin bei CD-Aufnahmen von Randy Crawford (Crusaders) und Cunnie Williams mit. Mit ihrer Band ‘His Masters Voice’ hatte sie zahlreiche Auftritte als Support-Band von Maceo Parker, bevor sie ihre Band ‚Soulstuff‘ gründete.
Leo James Steiner war bereits in den 70er Jahren als Gitarrist in hannoverschen Bands aktiv. Als Gründer und Namensgeber der ‚James Steiner Band‘, einer international agierenden Showband, begleitet er zahlreiche Bühnenstars im In- und Ausland. Über viele Jahre war er Mitglied der Ted Herold Band, der NDR-Live-Showband sowie Tour-Gitarrist der Tobin’s Gospel Singers (New York). Als Dozent für Akustik- und E-Gitarre ist er in diversen Musikschulen tätig und realisiert weitere musikalische Projekte.

Singer and keyboarder Jael Jones & guitarist Leo James Steiner have been working and playing together in different music projects like ‚The Soulettes‘ and ‚Soulstuff‘ over the past 10 years. In 2018 they started the Duo ‚Steiner & Jones‘. Their repertoire mainly consists of pearls of Soul-, Blues- and Pop music from the 70’s, but also from music pieces from today’s era.
Jael Jones received a classical piano training and discovered at very tender age her affection for Soul-, Blues – and Pop music. Inspired by fabulous musicians such as Quincy Jones, George Benson and Al Jarreau, she took benefit of her pianist´s talent to compose and arrange numerous Soul-Ballads starting at the age of twelve.
In addition to her law studies she worked on numerous musical projects: Frontsinger of Soulband ‘His Masters Voice’, ‚The Soulettes‘, the projects ‘Soul of the City’ and ‘The Soulciety Funky Family’ side by side with international artists such as Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Karl Denson and Cunnie Williams, Background singer on Randy Crawford’s album ‘Naked and True’. With her band ‘His Masters Voice’ she supported Maceo Parker on several Live-Gigs. Later she lead her band ‚Soulstuff‘.
Leo James Steiner has been an active guitarist since the 70’s. Back then he worked in several local bands. He is also the founder and namesake of the ‚James Steiner Band‘, an internationally acting showband. With the James Steiner Band he accompanied numerous stage stars all over the world. He was member of the ‚Ted Herold Band‘ and the ‚NDR-Live-Showband‘ for many years and tour guitarist of ‚Tobin’s Gospel Singers‘ (New York). As a teacher for acoustic and electric guitar he is engaged in several music schools. Until today he has been realizing his musical projects.
